Welcome to the Denny Putman State Farm Insurance Agency! As your local State Farm agent in Findlay, I’m here to help you protect what matters most—whether that’s your vehicle, your home 🏠, or your family’s future!

I assist individuals and families across Hancock County with auto insurance, home insurance, renters insurance, life insurance, and umbrella insurance, making sure coverage fits real life, not just a policy checklist.

I grew up on a farm outside Rockford, OH, where I learned the value of hard work early on. At 18, I enlisted in the U.S. Marines—much to my dad’s disappointment, since he hoped I’d stay and farm. Both experiences shaped my determination, discipline, and commitment to showing up for others. After attending Bowling Green State University and East Carolina College, I opened my agency in 1969. I’ve proudly served Findlay and the surrounding area for 56 years, and I have never regretted choosing State Farm.

People have always been my favorite part of this job—every conversation is a story. Being present, available, and helpful is how I’ve built confidence in this community for over five decades. I’m licensed in auto insurance, fire insurance, life insurance, and health insurance, and I work with my customers by phone or screen share, whatever makes things easiest.

My wife, Sharon, and I have two grown children and several grandchildren. Our daughter, Denise, joined the agency in 1990 after earning her degree in Interpersonal and Public Communication from Bowling Green State University, and she continues to serve customers alongside me today. Faith and community are both important to us—you’ll even see a cross on the side of our building—and I’m proud to support local businesses throughout Hancock County.

Outside the office, I’m an OSU fan through and through and enjoy staying active with plenty of walking these days.

At the end of the day, my goal is simple: help people feel confident knowing their auto, home, renters, or life insurance is set up to protect them and the people they love!
